Tippers
Free
No fee added on top of what you tip. The full amount you enter is what gets charged.
Workers and venues
10% handling fee, you keep 90%
No signup fee and no monthly fee. The 10% covers payment processing (M-Pesa, card) and the cost of running tips.ke. Your balance pays out automatically by M-Pesa once it reaches KES 1,000, you never have to request a withdrawal.
How a tip breaks down
Example: a KES 1,000 tip pays out KES 900 to the worker or venue. The remaining KES 100 covers the 10% fee.
Ways to pay
M-Pesa (STK push, no app needed) or a card. Tippers never need to sign up.
